A “clear opportunity” for Nigeria was realized via the initiative, according to the millionaire industrialist.

According to Aliko Dangote, the company’s first product “will be in the market before the end of July, beginning of August this year.”

At the 650,000 bpd refinery’s Monday opening in Lagos State, the president of Dangote Industries Limited made this statement during his remarks.

Beyond the event today, he added, “our first objective is to ramp up production of the various products to ensure that within this year, we’re able to fully satisfy our nation’s demand for higher quality products.”

Aliko Dangote expresses gratitude to Buhari for his assistance and for serving as a source of motivation for him when he felt like giving up.

His achievement, in his opinion, is to make it possible for Nigeria to terminate the “tragic” import dependence and “once and for all” put a stop to the importation of hazardous, subpar petroleum products.

Beyond this, he continued, “We intend to ensure that our plants are operated at the highest possible capacity of utilization and efficiency to enable us to export competitively to other markets, especially in the ECOWAS and wider regions, where 53 out of 55 countries are dependent on imports to meet their demand for petroleum products.

The multibillionaire businessman said that the initiative was a “clear opportunity” for Nigeria, noting the African Union’s commitment to the development of an African common market via the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Other refined products that are anticipated to be produced at the plant include Premium Motor Spirit (petrol), diesel (Automotive Gas Oil), aviation jet fuel, and Dual-Purpose Kerosene (DPK).
