Damagum Under Fire: Bala Mohammed’s Faction Initiates NEC Meeting Amid PDP Crisis
Bala Mohammed’s faction is mobilizing for a NEC meeting, indicating a serious plot against Damagum amid ongoing tensions within the PDP.
Amidst the turmoil within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a faction led by Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed has submitted a court request for an ex parte order to convene the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting.
OBASANJONEWS reports that several governors from the PDP, led by Mohammed, attempted to oust acting national chairman Amb Umar Damagum.
The action intensified the party’s crisis, as it faced opposition from some stakeholders, particularly those loyal to Nyesom Wike in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The Federal High Court in Abuja had additionally issued an order preventing the party from dismissing Damagum.
The lawsuit from Mohammed’s faction was submitted to the Federal High Court in Zamfara State.
