Collapse of Two-Storey Building in Lagos Island Traps Many

In the Lagos State neighbourhood of Isale Eko, a two-story building fell, terrifying and alarming the locals.
According to reports, a large number of people are stuck in the allegedly flawed building.

There are rumours that the building’s integrity was damaged after a fire damaged some of Lagos Island’s Dosunmu Market.

According to Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, the Lagos Territorial Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), who verified the occurrence, the fire had a significant impact on 14 additional properties.

Due to the fire’s severity, four structures in the Dosunmu Market on Lagos Island collapsed in April.

According to him, NEMA, Federal and State Fire Services, the Nigeria Police, and the fire service of the Nigeria Ports Authority were among the emergency responders on the scene.
