On Tuesday in Abuja, during his remarks at the swearing-in ceremonies for the new Defence Minister, Alhaji Muhammed Badaru, and his State counterpart, Dr. Bello Matawalle, Musa provided the assurance.

He also promised that the armed forces will take all necessary steps to maintain the nation’s peace and stability.

While assuring you of our loyalty to Nigeria and the President, the CDS continued, “We will do everything necessary to ensure success in the fight against insecurity.”

Dr. Ibrahim Kana, the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, had earlier expressed confidence that the ministers would use their prior experience to succeed in their new position.

“They are coming with caution and discipline because they understand the importance of stability in security,” Kana added, promising that ministry employees will support them in their endeavours. (NAN)
