Burna Boy cancels his event in South Africa because the production crew has not yet been paid

Burna Boy, a popular name for Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, a well-known Nigerian Afrobeat performer, has cancelled his much-anticipated South Africa show.

On September 23, 2023, the concert was slated to take place at Johannesburg’s FNB stadium.

Burna Boy discussed the situation in a statement released on Tuesday by his management, claiming that the event was cancelled due to the promoters’ failure to fulfil their duties.

The administration promised to reimburse all tickets while expressing regret to his supporters.

“Unfortunately, it is with great sorrow that we must notify you that despite the best efforts of my team, the event scheduled for September 23 in Johannesburg has been postponed due to the promoters’ failure to meet their contractual, production, financial, and technical responsibilities.

“The agreed-upon production standard required for this venue size cannot be achieved at this time since production vendors have still not received payment.

“We sincerely apologise to every fan, and all ticketing organisations are required to make sure that the money is reimbursed in full. It said, “Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
