Breaking: MC Oluomo Officially Assumes Role as National President of NURTW

MC Oluomo, influential Lagos figure, takes office as the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), ushering in a new leadership era for the union.

After being appointed as the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, was officially sworn in at the union’s national secretariat in Abuja.

During the Quadrennial Delegate Conference at its Zonal Secretariat in Osogbo, Osun State on Saturday, Akinsanya was chosen through consensus.

Four states in the Southwest—Ogun, Lagos, Ekiti, and Ondo—participated in the election after the national body designated that region for the position.

He was presented to the members of the National Administrative Council (NAC) and Central Working Committee (CWC).

Akinsanya was inaugurated as the national president, while Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede and Akeem Adeosun were sworn in as Vice President, Southwest and Trustee respectively.

Akinsanya expressed gratitude to everyone for helping make his election and inauguration a reality.

He thanked all the union members and his supporters.

He pledged to uphold the union’s constitution.

He stated, “I vowed to guide the union to greater heights with the assistance of almighty Allah.”

The union president urged members to remain calm and united.
