BREAKING: Makinde donates free shops to 700 traders in Ibadan
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has announced that 700 street traders who were displaced by the Agodi Gate Junction Improvement Works will be provided with free stalls in the newly constructed market in the area.
During the commissioning of the Idi Ape, Civic Centre, Agodi Gate Junction Improvement Projects, the governor emphasized that these projects will not only reduce the time spent by residents commuting on the roads but also improve traffic flow and boost commercial activities in the area.
Additionally, the governor highlighted that these projects align with his Oyo State Roadmap to Sustainable Development, 2023-2027, which focuses on enforcing the rule of law and orderliness in the society.
Governor Makinde expressed his gratitude to the governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, for attending the event, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration in the country.
Furthermore, he revealed that three more junction improvement projects are planned for UI-Agbowo, Polytechnic Road-Sango, and Eleyele Junction in Ibadan.
