Fuel loading operations have commenced at Dangote Refinery, marking a significant step in fuel distribution. Watch the first set of trucks in action.

Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) is scheduled to be loaded onto the first set of trucks at The Dangote Refinery, according to an announcement from the refinery.

On Sunday, the Dangote Group revealed this information through a video that was shared on its official X account.

“The company reported that the initial batch of trucks is being prepared for PMS loading at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.”

On Saturday, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) announced that more than 300 trucks had arrived at Dangote Refinery for petrol loading.

It is reported that Nigeria will be loading locally produced petrol for the first time in years.

Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Zacch Adedeji, Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service previously announced that NNPCL had finalized all arrangements to uplift petrol from Dangote Refinery.

Fuel scarcity is expected to end and prices are anticipated to eventually decrease with the initiation of gasoline distribution from Dangote Refinery, according to petroleum marketers.
