BREAKING: APC chairman Ganduje and his wife will face legal proceedings by Kano Government on April 17

Former governor Abdullahi Ganduje, along with his wife Hafsat and six others, is set to face arraignment in court by the Kano State Government.

The charges against them include alleged misappropriation of state funds and the diversion of landed properties that belong to the state.

The arraignment summon, which has been seen by our correspondent, reveals that they will be facing an eight-count charge.

These charges are related to alleged dollar bribery, as well as the diversion and misappropriation of funds, which includes a substantial amount of $413,000 and N1.38 billion.

The suit also names other respondents who will be involved in the legal proceedings.

These respondents include Abubakar Bawuro, Umar Abdullahi Umar, Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Ltd, Safari Textiles Ltd, and Lesage General Enterprises.

The Kano State Government has stated that it has gathered a total of 15 witnesses to support their case against Ganduje and the other respondents.

The arraignment is scheduled to take place on April 17th, 2024, before Justice Malam Na’aba of the Kano State High Court.

This adjournment allows for adequate time for the necessary preparations and ensures that the legal proceedings can proceed smoothly.

The Kano State Government is committed to ensuring that justice is served and that any alleged wrongdoing is thoroughly investigated and addressed through the appropriate legal channels.
