Nigerian artist Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, revealed that he encountered his spouse, Chioma, prior to achieving wealth and fame during his appearance on The Bridge Show’s most recent episode.
Davido expressed that had he not met Chioma before attaining success, it would have been challenging for him to discover genuine love.
He shared, “I have a close friend who is affluent but single, and whenever I speak with my wife on the phone, he remarks that he possesses everything except what I have.”
The singer emphasized that he crossed paths with his wife before acquiring financial stability, reflecting on the idea that if he were single now and met a woman, he would be aware that her interest stemmed from his status rather than his true self.
For Davido, true success is witnessing the individuals who supported him when he had nothing to acknowledge his achievements, rather than abandoning them for a new circle of acquaintances upon achieving fame.
