BBC documentary: Multichoice has decided to remove TB Joshua’s Emmanuel TV from DStv
Viewers have been informed by Multichoice DStv that they will no longer be broadcasting Emmanuel TV, a religious TV network that was established by the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, T.B. Joshua.
This decision comes after a controversial documentary by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) that featured individuals claiming to be former members of the church, who alleged that they had experienced molestation and torture at the hands of the late prophet.
Multichoice stated in a message on screen that the discontinuation of Emmanuel TV will take effect from January 17, 2024. In addition to parting ways with Multichoice, Emmanuel TV will also cease its service on StarSat and other pay-TV platforms.
The BBC documentary, which consisted of three parts, investigated the late TB Joshua and his church, interviewing around 30 alleged former members and workers of the SCOAN.
