According to reports, Abdulrasheed Bawa, the EFCC’s suspended chairman, has decided to step down.

The next EFCC chairman, the Director-General of the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU), and the incoming Chairman of the ICPC would all be chosen by President Tinubu, sources claim.

Pressure to release Bawa, the arrested former EFCC boss, is increasing on the DSS.

According to Platinumpost, the Department of State Services (DSS) apprehended Bawa in Abuja.
