Banky W is confident of gaining House of Representatives seat

Olubankole Wellington, better known as Banky W, a well-known Nigerian artist running for the House of Representatives in the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency of Lagos State on behalf of the Peoples Democratic Party, expressed optimism about his chances of success.

In a Saturday election-related interview in Lagos, Banky said: “At the end of the day, for me, it is all about the grace of God and the will of the Lagos people. And I think we’ve got those two things. I’m sure I’ll prevail this time, therefore.

Banky W said he was happy with the turnout and the way people behaved throughout the election, noting that many people arrived as early as 7 am.

We started our queue control much earlier because we had already learned a lot from the previous elections. As that was the largest voting unit in Eti-Osa, a few friends and I arrived together and procured chairs and canopies.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Babajide Obanikoro, defeated the singer in the Eti Osa Federal Constituency election in 2019.
