A group of armed bandits have expressed their desire to engage in peace talks with the Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, as revealed in a widely circulated video on Thursday.

In the video, the self-proclaimed leader of the bandits, Garba Habeeb, emphasized the importance of negotiation between his group and the state government for the sake of peace and coexistence in Zamfara State.

Habeeb urged Governor Dauda Lawal to consider the need for peaceful resolution, highlighting the futility of continued conflict and the necessity of finding common ground to address their differences.

Additionally, he called out the military, specifically mentioning Tukur Usman Gusau, for their aggressive actions against the bandits, and expressed concerns over recent incidents involving vigilante groups in his area.
