The People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) nominee for president, Atiku Abubakar, has disagreed with the tribunal’s decision to dismiss Governor Ademola Adeleke.

According to a report by Obasanjonews24, the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which met in Osogbo on Friday, overturned Governor Ademola Adeleke’s election victory on July 16th, 2022.

Adegboyega Oyetola was also proclaimed the election’s victor.

In response to the decision, Atiku asked the people of Osun State to maintain their faith in Governor Adeleke.

He continued by saying Adeleke would win out in the end.

“I stand in solidarity with the wonderful people of Osun State who voted overwhelmingly for the People’s Democratic Party and gave their mandate to His Excellency Governor Ademola Adeleke on today’s decision of the Election Petition Tribunal in Osun State.

“Today’s proceedings at the tribunal represent a stage in the campaign to liberate Osun State, and I am confident that at the end of the entire process, the people will triumph.”

“I therefore urge the people of Osun to keep their faith in the governor they chose to serve them by popular vote.”
