Atiku, Melaye, and Others Appear in Court Regarding Live Coverage

On May 8, Atiku submitted a request for a ruling allowing live coverage of the daily court proceedings in their case against Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, which began on Monday.

Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is present in court as the presidential Election Petitions Tribunal is scheduled to hear his request for live coverage of the proceedings.

On May 8, Atiku submitted a request for a ruling allowing live coverage of the daily court hearings in their case against Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, which began on Monday.

The former vice president is accompanied by former Cross River State Governor Liyel Imoke, former Adamawa State Governor Bonny Haruna, former Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu, former PDP National Chairman Uche Secondus, among other dignitaries, as they arrive at the Court of Appeal Abuja, the location of the tribunal’s hearing on Thursday.

Senator Dino Melaye, who is running for governor of Kogi State on behalf of the party, is also present at the pre-hearing.

According to Obasanjo News24, the Tribunal will also hear the Allied Peoples Movement’s (APM) request to challenge the results of the presidential election held on February 25.
