Nasiru Gawuna, the All Progressives Congress candidate for Kano State’s governorship in 2023, claims that the judiciary is the final resort for the average person after rulings from the Election Petition Tribunal and the Court of Appeal upheld his electoral triumph.
After being confirmed by the Court of Appeal on Friday as the state’s legitimately elected governor, Gawuna made this declaration in a statement given to reporters in Kano on Saturday.
The former deputy governor of Kano State said, “Praise be to Almighty Allah for ensuring our victory at the Gubernatorial Election Court of Appeal,” in a statement he captioned, “The Truth Has Prevailed, Judgement Is Victory For Everyone.”
“We are grateful to the Court of Appeal for their decision to maintain our victory in the election petition tribunal court.
The appeal court’s recognition of the truth would undoubtedly enhance democracy.
In order to guarantee that justice was served, I would like to take this opportunity to praise the judges of the election tribunal and the court of appeal for sticking to the truth.

“It has been confirmed by both rulings that the courts represent the last resort for the average person,” the speaker stated.
Gawuna called his court victory a victory for all State citizens and residents, inviting them to assist him and his running companion, Murtala Sule Garo, in the endeavour to build Kano State, regardless of their political allegiance.
He declared, “Our mission is growth and development through improvement of the living standard of Kano State residents and citizens.”
He urged State residents and citizens to maintain composure and uphold the law.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Deputy Senate President, Sen. Barau Jibrin, and the two Kano State ministers were then congratulated by Gawuna for their support.
“I would also like to express my gratitude to the diligent State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, Party Executives, Members of the National and State Assemblies, Chairmen of Local Governments, and Party heavyweights from ward to state levels.”
“I want to thank all of the Ulamas, the Business Community, the Youth, and the Women’s Groups for their prayers and solidarity,” Gawuna continued.
