The All Progressives Congress (APC) has lodged a formal complaint with the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, urging an investigation into the actions of Auwalu Jemomi and eight others who are accused of impersonating party executives in Ganduje Ward, Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State.
The National Legal Adviser of the APC, Prof. Abdulkarim Kana, highlighted in the petition dated April 16 that the false statement issued by Jemomi and his group, which announced the suspension of APC national chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, has caused confusion and unrest within the party and the general public.
