PDP chieftain Segun Sowunmi criticizes the APC, calling it a “gang of zombies” rather than a legitimate political party. Read more about his sharp remarks and their impact on political discourse.

Segun Sowunmi, a prominent figure within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), labeled the All Progressives Congress (APC) as “a gang of Zombies” on Monday.

Sowunmi stated that it would be deceptive for APC to consider itself a political party.

Appearing on Channels TV’s Politics Today, the PDP leader questioned when the APC last held a congress.

He stated, “The PDP just held congresses nationwide. I can’t recall the last time our rivals—the APC—did anything similar.”

“We are striving to uphold the principles of democracy; it’s not a peace borne from suppression. People will have options and access to legal recourse.”

The APC must be fooling itself if it believes it’s truly a political party. While it may hold government positions and serve as a vehicle for contesting elections, the idea of waking up one day to find that someone has ousted the Chairman and is now recruiting another would be absurd. It operates more like a gang of zombies than an organized entity.

“With all due respect, the APC is deluding itself if it considers itself a political party.”
