Anambra’s ex-governor dies in Abuja

Chukwuemeka Ezeife, a former governor of Anambra State, has away.

Ezeife, an 85-year-old Igbo leader and statesman, passed away on Thursday.

His family released a statement announcing his passing, which Rob Ezeife signed.

“Our most distinguished son, Okwadike, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, CON, a former federal permanent secretary, the first executive governor of Anambra State, a former political adviser to the president, and a former presidential aspirant, is being promoted to glory on behalf of the Ezeife Dynasty of Igbo-Ukwu,” the statement read.

This tragic incident happened at the Federal Medical Centre in Abuja yesterday around 6 p.m.

He declared, “More information about the deceased and the plans for his state burial will be announced later.”
