Following a stay in the hospital to address a respiratory infection made worse by COVID-19, Pele is doing better, according to medical professionals at the Albert Einstein Hospital on Monday.

Pele has been in the hospital since November 29, and his doctors have stated that they are still unsure of his release date.

According to the hospital, he is “aware and has stable vital signs.”

Pele, the only player to win three World Cups, is also getting chemotherapy for colon cancer.
