The president chooses the appropriate time to name his cabinet, according to Dele Alake, the president’s spokeswoman.

The Ministerial List for President Bola Tinubu is not Complete, according to the Presidency on Thursday.

Dele Alake, the Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, announced this during a press conference with media at the State House in Abuja.

Alake encouraged Nigerians to ignore the rumors on the awaited ministerial roster.

“About the ministerial list, there is not an iota of truth in any of those things,” Alake remarked. “You will be the first to know about the President’s intentions when he is good and ready.”

“I can assure you that everything you have read in the media is a fiction. We are not managing a legislative system; this is an executive presidency. The President thus determines when it is fit and proper for him to make his cabinet list based on the money that is on his table.

On May 29, 2023, in Eagle Square, Abuja, Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, took office as Nigeria’s 16th president.

Five weeks into his presidency, Tinubu has yet to name his ministers to create the Federal Executive Council, despite the fact that the constitution permits the president 60 days to assemble his cabinet. But he has also nominated new service heads and a few special advisers.

In June, the President named Dele Alake as his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy and Yau Darazo as his Special Adviser on Political and Intergovernmental Affairs.

Wale Edun was selected by Tinubu as a special adviser on monetary policies.

Additionally, he appointed Zachaeus Adedeji as Special Adviser on Revenue and Olu Verheijen as Special Adviser on Energy.

Salma Anas (Special Adviser, Health) and John Uwajumogu (Special Adviser, Industry, Trade, and Investment) are the other members.
