Shehu Sani, the former Senator of Kaduna Central, has revealed that foreign airlines are making deliberate efforts to push Air Peace out of foreign routes.

According to Sani, these foreign airlines will continue to decrease their fares until they successfully eliminate Air Peace from operating on those routes.

Sani took to X to urge Nigerians to support local airlines by patronizing them, as this will serve as a check on their foreign counterparts.

Air Peace, a Nigerian airline, recently commenced its flight services from Nigeria to London, specifically to Gatwick Airport.

However, the Chairman of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, expressed concerns about the alleged collaboration among foreign carriers operating on the Nigeria-UK route.

Onyema claimed that these foreign airlines are conspiring to force Air Peace out of international operations by significantly reducing airfares on the same route.

He further suggested the existence of an “unspoken alliance” among these foreign airlines to use lower pricing as a means to eject Air Peace from the Nigeria-London route.
