Nightlife in Nigeria and Africa has increased immeasurably, almost surpassing the global level, according to well-known socialite, showbiz promoter, and businessman Emmanuel Edoh.

Edoh, a co-partner of the nightclubs Magic City in Abuja and VANITI Lagos, was speaking to a group of journalists about the keys to his success in the entertainment industry and he set new standards for young Nigerians looking to pursue similar endeavours.

Edoh stated that Africa is continuously surpassing the global standard in entertainment, particularly in the area of nightlife, acknowledging that Nigerian and African nightlife has reached an impressive peak.

Edoh acknowledged that although Abuja’s nightlife has improved, it still falls short of Lagos’s extremely competitive standards.

“Nightlife activities in Nigeria have been good and are taking on a new dimension,” he stated. Nightlife now offers a lot more entertainment than simply drinking, unlike the old days when people would just go to clubs, get drunk, and then go. If you’re not a patron, you won’t get this.Club culture and the relationships it fosters are powerful. The business side is still far from being discussed.

In response to the fact that Abuja’s nightlife is becoming more and more competitive, Edoh stated:

Although Abuja is making an effort to compete, Lagos still has more. Although Lagos has a larger market, Abuja’s is still an excellent one. When it comes to business, Lagos’s nightlife is enormous. The market will either accept you or reject you.

Speaking about the success of their new team, VANITI Lagos, Edoh said he was encouraged by working with Uyi Ogbebor, commonly known as Sir Uyi, who is a seasoned and aggressive player.

“I’ll say that being a partner in Lagos’ top nightclub, VANITI, is a great deal for me and my partners. Thanks to my mentor in the business, Sir Uyi, who conceived the plans alone, the team is making it a great success,” he stated.

“This is because Lagosians have welcomed us and we’ve brought a lot of experience, entertainment, and vibes to the Lagos market,” the statement reads.

Edoh, whose birthday is this Saturday, thought back on his career thus far and acknowledged that it has not been an easy trip.

He said: “Believe me, this trip has never been easy. This is due to the fact that just when you believe you’re there, your mind suddenly shifts to the next great idea. I assure you that achieving success is not always as simple as it appears. It could be difficult on a physical, mental, emotional, and economical level. It will come to light.

He urged youth to persevere in pursuing their goals and to always give it their best effort. He used the quote “Just do the best you can until you know better, then you do better” by Maya Angelou. Just try to perform better. There is no other magic.
