The Super Eagles found it difficult to overcome the Palancas Negras on Friday night, according to him.
Due to a game-winning goal by Ademola Lookman in the late first half, Nigeria defeated Angola 1-0 at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny in Abidjan.
According to the former Chelsea player, the Super Eagles’ performance in the current AFCON match was among their hardest to date.
Aina told reporters, “We knew it was going to be a difficult game; I think it’s one of the hardest we’ve played so far just because we have had a lot of games where the boys have put in a lot of physical work.”
“Despite the difficulty of the game, we are pleased with the performance and outcome that we achieved.”
