However, the former defense minister stressed to students and workers at UNIABUJA that the elections must be free and fair.

In the event that he does not win the 2023 presidential election, Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), says he will accept the results.

Kwankwaso, who made this statement on Monday at a town hall event with faculty, staff, and students from the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA), also emphasized the need for free and fair elections.

“I have no issues accepting a loss in an election. The correct thing to do — a free, fair, and, of course, credible election — is the best way to embrace the 2023 election, he said.

As part of his security plan, the former defense minister also pledged to boost the size of the nation’s armed forces.

He discussed his platform, which included issues like security, education, youth inclusion, unemployment, and the economy, with university students and administration employees.

“I have no issues accepting a loss in an election. The greatest approach to accept the 2023 election is to conduct a legitimate, free, and fair election.

“We have determined how we will address the issue of insecurity, and our plan outlines this decision. We are quite irate that so many individuals, including young men and women, are being abducted right now as we sit here.

“We will provide the young people a lot of opportunities to serve this country as members of the military forces, the police, the DSS, and so on,” he declared.
