Deyemi Okanlawon, a well-known Nollywood actor, claims that many prominent people are not financially secure.
In response to a follower’s comment on his tweet explaining why his colleagues should strive for “highest earning” rather than “highest grossing” or “most highlighted,” he made this statement.
“Don’t always aim for the highest grossing or featured… Reach for the highest earning more frequently!,” Okanlawon had tweeted.
The follower responded by writing, “I thought the fame comes the bag?”

Deyemi replied that there are many renowned people who are penniless and went on to say that while fame is a byproduct, it is work strategy and work ethics that bring you money.
There are many well-known, poor people… “Fame is a consequence; what really brings the bag is talent and the grind (work strategy and work attitude),” he wrote.
Actor Okanlawon has been in several of Nollywood’s biggest blockbusters over the past two years.
