At the half, the Super Eagles led 3-1 thanks to Moses Simon’s successful penalty kick.
In the 55th minute, Faisal Bangal for Mozambique cut the deficit in half.
Twenty minutes from the end, substitute Umar Sadiq’s goal was disallowed for offside.
In the 86th minute, a second goal by Sadiq was disallowed for offside.
Next month’s matches against Lesotho and Zimbabwe will be the focus of Jose Peseiro’s team’s attention as they attempt to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
