The head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, said that terrible luck was to blame for his team’s 1-1 draw with Lesotho.

Despite being the clear favourites going into the match, Peseiro’s team was left disappointed by the visitors’ determined effort.

Additionally, the Super Eagles missed a few opportunities that they produced.

The forward for Leicester City, Kelechi Iheanacho, struck the woodwork in the second half after having a free kick saved in the first.

Before the interval, Ademola Lookman had one more opportunity that he squandered.

According to Peseiro, his side had a rough day.

After the game, he declared, “We had 76% of the ball possession against 24% (by Lesotho), the opponents only had two chances to score and scored a goal.”
