Bola Tinubu, the candidate for president from the All Progressives Congress, or APC, has said that if he wins, he will end the subsidy for gasoline.

In a meeting with business executives on Friday in Lagos State, Tinubu made this disclosure.

The APC presidential candidate declared that money once used for gasoline subsidies would instead be used for things like public health, physical policy, and infrastructure.

“We must immediately discontinue the PMS subsidy,” he stated. We will redistribute money for affordable infrastructure, public health, and public infrastructure.

The most important thing will be physical policy, and we need to wean our budget slowly off of dollars from oil sales.

Nigeria spends a lot of money on fuel subsidies each year, which some economic parties have criticized as being false.

Peter Obi, a presidential candidate for the Labor Party (LP), had previously compared Nigeria’s petroleum subsidies to organized crime.

If Obi wins the presidential election next month, he will end fuel subsidies.
