The spokesperson for the Katsina Police Command, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, made this announcement in a press release issued on Thursday night.

Reports indicated that the gunmen, armed with AK-47 rifles, stopped the bus at Gidan Kifi village on the Marabar-Kankara Road and kidnapped all passengers on board.
In response to a distress call, the joint task force swiftly mobilized and confronted the kidnappers in a gunfight, resulting in the successful rescue of 14 out of the 18 individuals who had been abducted.
ASP Sadiq mentioned that efforts are ongoing to locate the missing victims, with officers deployed in the area where the abduction occurred to conduct a thorough search and follow up on any leads.
