112 students have achieved first-class honors

At the seventh and eighth combined convocation ceremonies, the Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) is scheduled to convocate 4367.

At a news conference on Thursday in the university senate chamber, Prof. Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi, the vice chancellor of the institution, revealed this.

Of these, 112 students received first-class honours, 1,131 received second-class upper honours, 2,476 received second-class lower honours, and 636 students received third-class honours, according to the Vice Chancellor.

Prof. Bichi further mentioned that 401 postgraduates had registered for the convocation, which is a record high for the university since its founding. Of these, 11 hold doctorates, 168 hold master’s degrees in academia, 75 hold master’s degrees in business, and 149 hold postgraduate diplomas.

Not only will the convocation event commemorate the academic excellence of its graduates, but three distinguished individuals will receive honorary doctorates. The exceptional contributions to society of Dr. Ibrahim Shehu Shema, the former governor of Katsina; Faruk Umar Faruk, the emir of Daura; and Nasiru Ado Bayero, the emir of Bichi, will be honoured.
