Zinedine Zidane, the former head coach of Real Madrid, is on the verge of becoming the manager of Bayern Munich, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.

The negotiations between Zidane and Bayern Munich have reached an advanced stage, with most of the terms already settled.

The report also mentions that Zidane has engaged in discussions with the German Bundesliga club regarding potential reinforcements, particularly in the defensive department.

Initially, Bayern Munich had set their sights on Julian Nagelsmann as the preferred candidate to succeed their current manager, Thomas Tuchel, who will be departing the club at the end of this season.

However, Nagelsmann recently extended his contract with the Germany national team, which led Bayern Munich to explore other options.

Zidane, who has previously been linked with managerial positions at Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, has been without a coaching role since his departure from Real Madrid in 2021.

His potential appointment as the manager of Bayern Munich would mark his return to the football scene and present him with a new challenge in his illustrious career.
