Nine months to the day after Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed in his evening address on Thursday that the enemy had not been able to “break us, and will not find one,” and that the Ukrainian military was holding “important lines” in all directions.

In other undisclosed regions, he claimed, Ukrainian advances were planned.

The somber nine-month mark was reached with much of Ukraine still cut off from regular water supplies and mired in darkness as a result of a frenzied series of Russian missile assaults on civilian infrastructure that caused the country to lose electricity on Wednesday.

Together, we have survived nine months of all-out conflict, and neither Russia nor its allies will be able to separate us, according to Zelenskyy.

He said that Kherson, which the occupying forces had abandoned earlier this month, was being intensively bombed by Russian forces.
They had only managed to seize one regional capital during the full-scale assault, and that was it.

According to local authorities, seven people were murdered and 21 more were injured in the city’s airstrikes on Thursday. Zelenskyy said that new reports of these attacks arrive “nearly every hour.”

“This horror started as soon as the Russian Army was compelled to leave the Kherson area.
This is the losers’ retribution “explained Zelenskyy.
“They lack the fighting skills.
They currently have no other option than to terrify.
Russia has only regressed to energy terror, artillery terror, or missile terror under its current authorities.”

According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian forces “control significant turning points in all directions…and there are directions in which we are prepared to advance.”

He claimed that it looked like more Russian military were being deployed in some regions.

In places of intense combat, RFE/RL was unable to independently verify battlefield statements and casualty reports on either side.

Russian ‘intensified counter-sabotage and policing actions’ in the seized area of Skadovskiy in the Kherson region, according to the general staff of the Ukrainian Army.

According to the report, Russian forces were bolstering fortification tools and providing logistical support for cutting-edge units in the Kherson, Kryviy Rih, and Kryvorizka regions.

It said that Russians were focusing their efforts on offensives in the Bakhmut and Avdiyivka regions.
