On Monday night, suspected bandits raided the Kofar Doka neighborhood in Zaria, Kaduna State, and killed two individuals.
Around 9:40 p.m., the bandits arrived on foot in large groups and went straight to the home of a Customs officer.
The source claims that “the bandits who came in great numbers invaded the home of a customs officer, Malam Abubakar Modibbo, and kidnapped his wife Asiya Abubakar, along with his two daughters, Khadijatul Kubra and Hafsat, with one Falalu Ibrahim.”
He described how two bystanders named Zaharaddeen Mohammed of Amaru and Sunusi Sani of Dorayi were killed by the bandits.
He said that Sunusi Sani’s wounds from the gunshots caused him to later learn that he had passed away at the hospital early in the morning.
The source went on to say that the bandits traveled to Dorayi village outside of Zaria and stole a lot of animals in addition to kidnapping roughly 20 people.
