Huriya Lawan, the governor’s wife, and the Zamfara State government have announced plans to arrange wedding ceremonies for five orphanage home ladies who have discovered true love.
The declaration was made by Nafisa Maradu, the state commissioner for women, children, and social development, in a statement that her public relations representative Suleiman Isah posted in Gusau on Wednesday.
While providing clothing, shoes, hijabs, headgear, and various designer earrings worth N2.5 million to the orphans at Gusau Orphanage Home, Ms. Maradu disclosed the proposal.
The commissioner continued, saying that the girls who had already finished their graduation degrees were dating their lovers.
She claimed that all required arrangements had been made, and the only thing left to do was choose a date for the wedding.
According to her, the governor made the gesture as part of his goodwill in ensuring the welfare and well-being of orphans in the state.
Ms. Maradu also provided uniforms for the orphanage home workers so they would look better while on the job.
She claimed that this was done in compliance with the executive council of the Zamfara State’s resolution that the orphans would now be fed nutritious cuisine.
The commissioner gave the orphans advice on how to repay the favour by acting honourably, with strict discipline, and loyalty.
