According to Abdulraziz Sani, the Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice for Zamfara State, five individuals were recently found guilty on charges related to banditry by the state government.
The Attorney General of the State revealed to Obasanjonews.com in Gusau that one individual was handed a death sentence, whilst the remaining were sentenced to years behind bars.
He added that his ministry is currently pursuing certain cases in court to deter other criminals and put an end to the prolonged banditry activities within the state.

The Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General emphasized that the implementation of Executive Order 07, which prohibits nighttime motorcycle operation in the state, was prompted by recurring incidents of terror group attacks resulting in abduction and ransom schemes as well as senseless killings. Its primary objective is to curb this problem.
He implored the inhabitants to provide unconditional backing and collaboration to the state authorities in their effort to combat rampant insecurity and reinstate tranquility and routine activities within the locality.
According to Sani, there is now a Mobile court in place to prosecute those who violate Executive Order number 07 which imposes limitations on motorcycle movement between the hours of 8:00 pm and 6:00 am.
