Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has emphasized his determination to utilize all legal avenues to recover the more than N5.4 billion in monthly pension contributions that were not remitted by the previous administration led by Abdullahi Ganduje.

He stated that it is unjustifiable for anyone to deduct pension contributions from workers without transferring the funds accordingly. During the commencement of the disbursement of N5 billion in gratuities to 4000 retirees, Yusuf reiterated that pension payments are not a privilege but a fundamental entitlement.
