Youths launch a ‘say-no-to-protest’ march in Lagos. Discover the reasons behind this movement and its significance.

On Monday, July 29th, young people in Lagos state organized a counter-demonstration to express their opposition towards the proposed nationwide protest scheduled for August 1st.

Obasanjonews.com had reported that there were plans among Nigerians to stage a protest against the economic difficulties prevalent in the country.

The protest, rapidly gaining support on social media, is slated to take place in every state of the federation and also at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. The rally will kick off from August 1st.

The youngsters, originating from various places, assembled in the Lagos Island region to demonstrate their backing for the administration guided by Tinubu. Moreover, they appealed to fellow youths to abstain from engaging in aggressive protests.

Referring to the 2020 #EndSARS movement which caused property damage and loss of lives in the region, young individuals disapprove of its reoccurrence and are determined to prevent it from happening once more.
