Nasir el-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, has posted a mysterious statement on X, the social networking website formerly known as Twitter, days after the Senate declined to confirm him as a minister.

On Sunday, El-Rufai posted the “Who The Cap Fit” lyrics by Bob Marley.

The song’s lyrics include the line, “Man to man is so unjust, children, ya don’t know who to trust, your worst enemy could be your best friend, and your best friend, your worst enemy.”

El-Rufai was one of the 48 ministerial nominees that President Bola Tinubu sent to the Senate for consideration and confirmation, according to Obasanjonews24.

However, the troubled former governor and two other nominations were rejected by the Senate, who gave reasons for this included unfavourable “security reports.”

Reactions were sparked both inside and outside of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which is now in power.

Although there were rumours that the former FCT Minister had chosen to withdraw from the race because of the delay, he has since kept quiet about the news.
