Shaffy Bello, a Nollywood actress, claims that she feels insulted when younger people address her by her first name.
She also admitted that it irritates her when young people wave and say “hi” to her.
In a recent Me, Her, and Everything Else podcast episode, the actor talked.

She acknowledged the differences in cultures around the globe, though, saying that she is aware of how upbringing and culture influence how people greet one another. She went on to say that she preferred to be addressed as “Ma’am” to Shaffy.
Bello explained, “Usually my response is simple and I say it with love, I pull them close and I tell them ‘you haven’t earned the right to call me by my name, I have a child as old as you are.'” in response to young people who address her by name. You haven’t earned the right to call me by name, and at your age you would never gain the right even if I didn’t have children.
