You had hangover at 11:30 in the morning – Atiku accuses Wike

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s nominee for president in Nigeria’s elections scheduled for February 25, 2023, admitted to Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike that consuming whisky at 11:30 on a Monday had a negative impact on his reasoning.

On Sunday in Abuja, Abubakar gave a statement through his special assistant for public communications, Phrank Shaibu.

“Wike had revealed that he was sipping a 40-year-old whisky as he was watching members of his own party on TV demonstrating against election fraud of February 25 in Abuja,” the statement read. Wike was speaking to supporters on Friday in Rivers State’s Emohua Local Government Area.

I simply sat down and drank a 40-year whisky as they were voicing their displeasure. When they were voicing their disapproval, I phoned a few of my pals and opened the 40-year-old whisky,” Wike had remarked.

Wike was given the advice to “keep off alcohol” by Shaibu since drinking had negatively impacted his voice, demeanour, and ability to think.

“Governor Wike has validated what we all know,” he declared. He is an alcoholic, you know. On Monday, March 6, 2023, Waziri Atiku Abubakar organised a demonstration against the stealing of the Nigerian people’s mandate, which was in and of itself a good cause.

The demonstration happened approximately 11.30am, just to be clear. At the protest on a Monday at 11.30am, according to Governor Wike, he was sipping whisky. This shows what kind of a person he is: a dipsomaniac who skips work on Monday morning to gorge on whisky.

This explains why he spoke in a rough manner that reminded me of a motor park hawker. There is no doubt that Governor Wike dances while intoxicated. It makes sense why it has a vulgar aesthetic.

You shouldn’t drink and drive, as is the general rule. Regrettably, a drunken person is in charge of the state of Rivers. Because he is married to a judge, this is much more unsettling. The cantankerous governor, in fact, was unable to benefit from the phrase, which was as sober as a judge.

Shaibu continued by saying that “Wike’s vituperations and wailings” had nothing to do with assuring that the next president will come from the south.

He said that Wike was merely a bitter loser who had deceived the other G5 members, who are currently fighting for their political lives.

“Zoning has nothing to do with Wike’s beef with Waziri Atiku Abubakar,” he said. He is only sobbing because a fair election resulted in his not receiving the PDP’s presidential nomination. After losing, he tricked four additional governors into supporting his fruitless effort.

“Three G5 governors, including Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, who finished a distant third in the Abia South senatorial race while serving as governor, failed miserably in their elections for the Senate. When his blunder caused the PDP to lose all three senate elections, Governor Seyi Makinde’s ambition is dangling by a thread.

“Wike has abandoned his G5 comrades since their defeat and has not conducted a single meeting with them. Despite the fact that all of his guys were defeated, he was celebrating the polling results. He is the kind of individual described above, despite his assertions that he is not breaking any party rules.

Wike was also criticised by Shaibu for acknowledging in a video that he had rigged the results of the previous election in his state.

“At this point, I would love to commend the nearly 300,000 Nigerians who have signed the petition for Wike’s visa sanction,” he added, praising the nearly 300,000 Nigerians who had signed a Change.Org petition to demand that the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union impose a visa ban on him.

It’s a step in the right direction. The media dubbed his state “Rivers of Blood” while he was in charge because every election he has ever been a part of has been marked by violence and vote-rigging.

“He is a man who acknowledged to ‘killing everyone we can murder’ during a phone call with Governor Ayodele Fayose that was recorded and released.

He is a man who criticises the state’s conventional leaders, arrests dissidents, closes off their premises, and even revokes their certificates of office. May Nigeria never again have emperors who use force to enslave their subjects in order to advance their political ambitions.
