Yoruba, Igbo, Others Should Go Separate Ways If Nigeria Has Failed Them – Sunday Igboho
In a video shared online on Thursday, Igboho, captured at an airport in the United Kingdom, linked the decline in national pride to challenges like corruption, insecurity, and a faltering economy.
He added that if Nigeria continues to struggle with unity, it might be preferable for different ethnic groups such as the Igbo, Yoruba, and Hausa to go their separate ways.
Igboho highlighted that young individuals from the Yoruba ethnic group, enriched by their experiences abroad, are enthusiastic about helping to develop the Yoruba nation into a modern and prosperous society comparable to European countries.
Igboho stated, “There’s a lack of security even within the airport. People can steal items from your bag in Nigerian airports. These issues discourage people from feeling proud of Nigeria.”
He expressed, “Incidents like these make us reluctant to identify as Nigerians. This is why we support the idea of separation. If Nigeria isn’t functioning well as a nation, it might be better for us to part ways.”
He noted, “Yoruba youths have the potential to transform our nation. Having traveled extensively and gained significant knowledge worldwide, they can return home equipped to help develop Yoruba land and elevate it on par with European standards.”
