The Yobe State House of Assembly has called upon the executive branch of government to provide assistance to kidney transplant patients in the state.
This request was made during a motion of urgent public importance, which was presented by several members of the House representing different constituencies.
These legislators emphasized the growing number of kidney transplant patients in the state and highlighted the importance of government support, as well as assistance from philanthropists and donor agencies, in helping these patients obtain their necessary medications.

They pointed out that these drugs are expensive and that the economic hardship in the country makes it even more crucial to provide assistance to these patients.
Other lawmakers also expressed their support for the motion, describing it as a matter of great importance that requires a swift response from the government.
The speaker of the House, Chiroma Buba Mashio, assured that the House will work together with the executive branch to find a lasting solution to the issue of kidney disease in the state.
