Veteran Yoruba actress Yetunde Wunmi has opened up about the sacrifices she made for her career.
In an interview with BBC Yoruba, the 64-year-old revealed that she began her career as a stage performer in 1982 with Sunday Akinola’s ‘Feyi Kogbon’ theatre group.
Sharing her almost forty years of experience in the movie industry, Yetunde Wunmi revealed that her marriage ended because of her passion for acting.

I can never forget Adelove. He brought the stage drama to Danjuma film near where I lived at that time. That day, he wore an all-white outfit and arrived in a white car.
Everyone rushed towards him, and I moved closer to ensure I touched his clothes. It made me incredibly happy; it felt as if I had touched gold. That moment sparked my interest in theatre.
I sacrificed my marriage for my passion for theater, but I have never regretted becoming an actress because God has been gracious to me.
