On Monday, Atiku Abubakar’s campaign for president in 2023 responded to the leaked discussion between Peter Obi, the candidate for the Labour Party, and Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith church.
The talk in the released recording, according to the camp, was extremely unacceptable.
The leaked audio’s substance, according to Atiku’s spokesperson Daniel Bwala, has nothing to do with the appeal before the presidential tribunal.
Bwala stated in a tweet that “The dialogue in the recording leaked by (Only God and time will tell) is very condemnable.
But it has nothing to do with whether or not his petition to the presidential tribunal was good. Not the audio, but Section 134 of the EA has the petition’s justifications.
Obi was heard pleading with Oyedepo in the leaked audio recording to get Christians to support him.
“Papa, I need you to talk to your people, the Christians in the South-West and Kwara. This is a religious conflict, Obi reportedly added in the viral tape.
Valentine Obienyem, Obi’s media assistant, said that the audio discussion between Oyedepo and his principal that was released was taken out of context.
