Yakubu Gowon Airport’s shutdown is announced by FAAN

The Yakubu Gowon Airport in Jos, Plateau State, will close, according to a statement made on Wednesday by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria.

On Wednesday, FAAN published a message on its Twitter page announcing the news.

According to the statement, runway maintenance will cause the airport to be closed from September 23 to September 29 in 2023.

“Please be advised that Yakubu Gowon Airport in Jos will be TEMPORARILY closed to flight operations from September 23 through September 29 in 2023 for airport runway maintenance.

The statement read, “The Management regrets any inconveniences this may cause to our valued customers.”
