Legendary Manchester United player Wayne Rooney has predicted that Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz would perform well in the World Cup in Qatar.

Rooney anticipates that Germany will trigger a surprise at the World Cup, and Havertz will spearhead the German assault in Qatar.

Today marks the beginning of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and Brazil and Argentina are heavy favourites to take home the championship.

Rooney thinks the Globe Cup will give Havertz the chance to demonstrate his talent to the world, despite the fact that he hasn’t been himself at Chelsea this season.

For Chelsea in the 2020–21 season, the German scored the go-ahead goals in the Champions League and Club World Cup finals.

When The Times asked Rooney who of the European rivals he thought would pose the greatest threat to Brazil and Argentina, Rooney responded, “Do not write out Germany…

“[In the Nation League final match] versus England, Germany utterly dominated. Ilkay Gundogan and Joshua Kimmich were fantastic.

“I predict Kai Havertz will perform well in the competition. Germany’s ability to control the game will be essential.
