Bernardo Silva of Manchester City has stated that there isn’t a “weird feeling” in the Portugal camp between Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes, colleagues at Manchester United.

In preparation for their opening match against Ghana on Thursday, Portugal’s World Cup lineup includes Ronaldo and United colleague Fernandes.

To reporters in Qatar, Bernardo said, “The news that comes from England has nothing to do with the national team.”

“Cristiano is more concerned than I am about it. I’m not required to comment. I’m not a Manchester United player, and even if I were, I wouldn’t respond to that question since we play for the national team, therefore I’m not going to discuss it.

I don’t perceive any unusual tension between Cristiano and Bruno in our national squad, he said.

The midfielder claimed that as Ronaldo is not a member of the Red Devils, inquiries regarding Ronaldo and Manchester United should be directed to the 37-year-old.

‘Ronaldo is driven and focused on the subject at hand, which is the World Cup matches, and to help the country,’ Silva underlined.
