According to reports, Rahimat Salaum is said to have committed the murder of her husband in Pegi locality situated within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

On Tuesday, a statement was released by SP Josephine Adeh, the Public Relations Officer for FCT Police, confirming this.

On Monday, July 29th of the year 2024, operatives from the Command attached to Pegi Police Division arrested a woman as reported by her.

Before Police operatives came in and caught her, Josephine said the woman was trying to escape with the husband’s belongings.

As per the statement of the Police spokesperson, the woman admitted to killing her husband during interrogation citing a disagreement as the reason.

Afterward, she guided the Police team to an unfinished structure where she had disposed of the mutilated and charred corpse.

The statement stated that although the investigation is ongoing, CP Benneth C. Igweh, the Commissioner of Police in FCT confirms justice will be served. He also advised residents to stay alert about their environment and inform authorities if they notice any suspicious activity.
